METHOD FOR DETERMINING BEGINNING OF SECOND FROM TRANSMITTED TIME SIGNAL INCLUDING TIME INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved reliable method for determining the beginning of a second from a time signal received by a receiver of a radio-controlled clock.

SOLUTION: In this method for determining a second start from a transmitted time signal including time information, the time signal is composed of a plurality of time frames of constant duration, and an initial amplitude variation of the transmitted time signal indicates the beginning of a second within each time frame. In order to determine the second beginning of the time frames, a predetermined number of clocks of a reference clock CLK is counted up from a known second beginning of the time frame preceding in time.
