PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode structure for a fuel cell in which a gas passage is formed on the inside of a gas supply layer with a composite of fluororesin having hardness not deformed by pressing and fine carbon particles.
SOLUTION: Fluid dispersion of the fluororesin and fine carbon particles is concentrated by a cataphoretic electrodeposition method or a phase separation method utilizing colloidalization of nonionic surface active agent, the concentrated fluid is heated at a temperature of a melting point or more of the fluororesin to obtain a hydrophobic porous composite in which fine carbon particles are uniformly dispersed and having high hardness, many through holes are installed in the surface direction of the composite as passages of fuel and oxygen gas, and thereby, groove forming work of a bipolar plate is made unnecessary, manufacturing cost of the fuel cell is reduced, and power generation efficiency is enhanced.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
