MULTIPLE SPEED BURST OPTICAL SIGNAL RECEIVER OPTIMIZING RECEPTION SENSITIVITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burst optical signal receiver used for an OLT for accommodating a plurality of ONUs whose transmission speeds of uplink burst signals differ from each other and being able to select an optimum equalization gain band for each transmission speed of the burst signals.

SOLUTION: The optical signal receiver 90 is provided with: a light receiving section 10; a preamplifier 110; an automatic gain control amplifier 12; a clock extraction and signal identification section 13; an automatic identification level control circuit 14; and a switching signal generator 120. The switching signal generator 120 receives transmission speed information of a burst signal received by the optical signal receiver 90 and a reset signal denoting an OLT arrival timing of the burst signal, and outputs a switching signal bringing the equalization gain band of the preamplifier 110 receiving the burst signal to an optimum value. The preamplifier 110 receives the switching signal from the switching signal generator 120 and sets the equalization gain band to an optimum value by switching e.g. a feedback resistor or the like on the basis of the switching signal.
