INFORMATION INPUT DEVICE, ITS CONTROL METHOD, CONTROL PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information input device that enables information about a moving body to be inputted by means of a simple arrangement without using optical communications; its control method; a control program; and a recording medium for recording the control program.

SOLUTION: A pen type moving body 2 sends an ultrasonic signal S1 in synchronism with the timing of synchronizing communication with an input device 1. The input device 1 calculates the propagation time of the ultrasonic signal S1 on the basis of a time difference between the timing of synchronizing communication with the pen type moving body 2 and the timing of receiving the ultrasonic signal S1. The position of the pen type moving body 2 is calculated on the basis of a propagation distance calculated from the propagation time.
