PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ash melting device having low installation cost and high reliability as a plant. SOLUTION: The ash melting device comprises a slag tap 38 for slag to flow down from the melting furnace 9, a slag dropping cylinder 39 connected to the lower part of the slag tap 38, and a slag discharger 11 provided at the lower part of the slag dropping cylinder 39 with a water tank 71. A gap 56 is provided between the lower end of the slag dropping cylinder 39 and the water surface of the water tank 71, an equal extraction section 60 shut off atmospheric air is formed on the outer periphery of the slag dropping cylinder 39, and a bubbling zone 55 is formed on the wake flow side of the equal extraction section 60 for blowing a number of bubbles into water 72 in the water tank 71. High temperature combustion gas is extracted from the melting furnace 9 through the slag tap 38, the slag dropping cylinder slag tap 39, the gap 56, the equal extraction section 60 and the bubbling zone 55.
