PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material composition for metal surface coating free from hexavalent chromium, excellent in corrosion resistance under the environment where being wetted for a long period of time, and a coated metallic material applied with the composition. SOLUTION: This coating material composition for metal surface coating contains no hexavalent chromium in the composition and comprises at least a polymer having a thiocarbonyl group.
