PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method to remain natural attachment sites of soft tissue as many as possible. SOLUTION: It is a system and a method to maintain natural attachment of a part of a natural bone and its soft tissue to remove in arthroplasty. For example, a part of great trochanter is separated together with soft tissue attached in hip arthroplasty. An engagement structure such as a keystone structure is created in an implant and a detached bone part. The keystone structure can include a structure with a male mold and a structure with a female mold both to be engaged. A bone portion engages with the engagement structure of an implant and can hold the natural bone and its soft tissue attachment in an anatomically suited area. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
