PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive device which allows reproducing capability to be enhanced in defect detection. SOLUTION: The input timing of a predicted value of a tracking error signal detected by a defect filter 9 to a tracking servo filter 5 is delayed by delaying input timing by a defect filter output delay device 12. This allows suitable focus servo processing and tracking servo processing to be performed free from biasing the predicted value toward a "+" side or a "-" side from actual measurement when the defect detection continues.
