<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid type air cleaner for a vehicle which improves dust collection, sterilization and deodorization effects by generating a radical, a negative ion, and ultra violet rays by mesh dielectric barrier discharge, and which removes ozone by a photocatalyst and increases generation of a negative ion good for the human body by the adoption of a nanotube. <P>SOLUTION: The air to be cleaned can pass through the air cleaner for the vehicle, and the air cleaner for the vehicle includes a glow discharge part, a photocatalyst, and a negative ion forming part. The glow discharge part performs a cleaning action of the passing air by the generation of plasma by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) at the time of application of power to the dielectric barrier through an electrode. Then the photocatalyst, arranged in the rear direction of the glow discharge part, cleans the air passing through the glow discharge part. Then the negative ion forming part, arranged in the rear direction of the photocatalyst, enables the air cleaned by the photocatalyst to pass through it, and generates a negative ion within the air by electrical discharge of a negative electrode material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
