PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transfer system with which electric power consumption can be reduced. SOLUTION: The image transfer system 1 for transferring animation image data to an external image display device is equipped with first and second frame buffers 105 and 106 for storing the animation image data by each of frame units; a difference detecting section 104 for detecting the difference between the two frames respectively stored in the first and second frame buffers 105 and 106; a transfer deciding section 107 for deciding whether the latest frame among the frames stored in the first and second frame buffers 105 and 106 is to be transferred to the image display device, based on the degree of the difference of the two frames detected by the difference-detecting means; and a data transfer section 108 which transfers at least the updated pixels among the latest frames to the image display device 2, when the frame is decided as being transferred by the transfer deciding section 107.
