PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner having good dot reproducibility even in a small coating weight and capable of forming a high quality image with little density unevenness, in development of a latent image formed in an electrophotographic process, an electrostatic recording process, an electrostatic printing process or another process, and to provide an image forming method using the toner. SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developing toner contains a binder resin, a colorant, and a release agent, wherein the binder resin contains≥50 wt.% of a polyester, a weight average molecular weight of the toner is 1.5×10<SP>4</SP>-1×10<SP>6</SP>, a weight average molecular weight (Mw) to number average molecular weight (Mn) ratio (Mw/Mn) is 5-60, and a molecular weight distribution of the toner has one peak. In the full color image forming method in which color toners of at least three colors are used and developments are performed with the respective color toners, the above electrostatic charge image developing toner is used and a solid image is formed in a coating weight of the toner of 0.2-0.5 g/m<SP>2</SP>onto a transfer medium.
