PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably control discharge pressure of a pump in a water supply device provided with a control system keeping pressure in a water supply conduit at a target pressure by controlling speed of a motor for pump drive by a variable speed control means such as an inverter. SOLUTION: In a control device controlling pump delivery pressure to be consistent with a target value by varying pump rotation speed, degree of variation of pressure under a shut off condition (flow rate is zero) is determined when pump speed is varied from a current rotation speed to "n" rotation speed (n=1-100), a value indicating rotation speed to be varied for making the current value consistent with the target value under the shut off condition is determined, and rotation speed operation amount (ΔN) of the pump is determined by adjusting the value with a constant K and calculating rotation speed variation value.
