PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment method miniaturized in a conductive diamond electrode for use in electrolytic treatment, and furthermore, capable of completely decomposing organic compounds in water, and a water treatment system. SOLUTION: The water treatment method conducts an electrolytic Fenton method and electrolytic treatment using the conductive diamond electrode in combination for organic compound-containing water. The water treatment system is equipped with an electrolytic Fenton reaction device 20, and a conductive diamond electrolytic reaction device 40 having the conductive diamond electrode. In the water treatment system, the organic compound-containing water is decomposed by electrolytic Fenton reaction in the electrolytic Fenton reaction device 20, and furthermore, is led to the conductive diamond electrolytic reaction device 40 to be electrolyzed.
