<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which is higher in charge-and-discharge cycle characteristics, while a high-energy density is obtained by using a thin film including a lithium occlusive element for a negative pole material. <P>SOLUTION: In a negative pole for the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which reversibly occludes or discharges lithium, a current collector (2) and the negative pole material (3) of a thin-film form that is placed on the current collector (2) are included. The negative pole material (3) of the thin-film form includes a crystal grain (4) that includes the lithium occlusive element.
