<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus provided with an endless belt unit having two or more rollers and an endless belt laid across the two or more rollers in a tensioned condition or an intermediate transfer belt unit, in which a turning support point for the endless belt unit or the intermediate transfer belt unit can be reinforced and adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: the endless belt unit having at least two or more rollers and the endless belt laid across the two or more rollers in a tensioned condition; and main body side plates opposite to each other between which a part of the endless belt unit is supported turnably, wherein rigidity of the supporting part of the endless belt unit by the main body side plate is secured by interposing at least one bracket which is a separate member from the main body side plate, between the supporting part, and the flatness adjustment of the endless belt unit can be carried out without being influenced by processing accuracy of the main body side plates and the assembling accuracy of the image forming apparatus by using an adjusting tool in assembly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
