<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining a pipe-shaped article which can firmly join the pipe-shaped article of a resin member and a joint of a resin member together by laser beam welding by irradiating them with laser beams. <P>SOLUTION: A joint of a laser beam absorbing resin member is inserted into a pipe-shaped article of a laser beam transmitting resin member, or a joint of a resin member is inserted into a pipe-shaped article composed of an inner layer of a laser beam absorbing resin member and an outer layer of a laser beam transmitting resin member. Alternatively, a laser beam absorbing material is arranged on the outside surface of the joint of the resin member, and the joint is inserted into the pipe-shaped article of the laser beam transmitting resin member.
