PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy sealed piezoelectric vibration component using a harmonic of a thickness longitudinal vibration, capable of effectively restraining unwanted modes which are lower harmonics of the thickness longitudinal vibration, and having a preferred resonance characteristics. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric vibration component 1 comprises an energy sealed piezoelectric vibrator 3 using the higher harmonic of the thickness longitudinal vibration, a supporting member 2 for holding the piezoelectric vibrator 3, and unwanted mode non-reflective layers 4a and 4b which connect the vibration damping area of the piezoelectric vibrator 3 to the supporting member 2, and prevent the unnecessary modes that are the lower harmonics of the thickness longitudinal vibration from being reflected toward a piezoelectric vibrator 2. In this piezoelectric vibration component 1, if the density of the piezoelectric resonator 3 is set atρ1, and the density of the unnecessary mode non-reflective layers is set atρ2,ρ2/ρ1 is always not less than 0.4.
