PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle group for a display device used for an image display medium, which is capable of displaying an image whose background also has color and which gives fancy impression for the display image as a whole and will not make the eyes tired, even if it is viewed over a long time, to provide an image display device using the particle group for the display device and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In the particle group for the display device comprises at least one kind of particle for the display device having a positively charge enabled property and color and at least one kind of particle for the display device having a negatively charge enabled property and color, at least one kind of particle has light color of low density and at least the other one has dark color of high density in the particles for the display device.
