[Also in Division B1] A suction casing 2 . . . 5, 11 which also serves as a dust depositing chamber has a suction air inlet 8 extending horizontally between upper and lower portions 2, 3 of the casing front and downstream of a dust generating source, e.g. a pendulum grinder 9 and a metal billet 16 supported by a work-table 15; the crosssectional area of the casing being sufficiently greater than that of the inlet 8 as to cause deposition of the coarser dust particles on the floor 11 of the casing. The latter is provided with a baffle 14 and a pair of fabric filters 12 adjacent the inlet of a suction fan 6.</p> |
