Air vent (1) comprises an air channel divided into cylindrical partial channels (11a, 11b) which are arranged parallel to each other, and an air deflecting device (4). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Process for controlling the air flow of an air vent; and (2) Ventilating system for a vehicle containing the above air vent. Preferred Features: The air deflecting device distributes air fed through the air channel into at least four air streams. The air deflecting device has concentric partial channels. A metering unit is arranged in front of the air deflecting device to control air passing through the partial channels.
