The vehicle uses a continuously controllable, electronically-controlled center clutch for transferring a drive torque to a secondary axis. To assist the vehicle reference speed, the electronically-controlled center clutch is opened depending on a predetermined desired value. The desired value describes a safely allowable traction force, which ensures that the wheels in the secondary axle are in a stable state, despite being driven by this traction force. An independent claim is included for a computer program product.
