INDUSTRIAL ROBOT

An industrial robot comprises a manipulator having a tool at the front end, a robot controller for controlling the manipulator, and a main teaching device and a sub-teaching device for controlling the manipulator through the robot controller. The operation which can be performed by the sub-teaching device is limited as compared with the main teaching device. Thus, it is possible to prevent a worker on the production line from executing functions of the industrial robot essentially authorized only for a manager.
