Sensor positioning and orientation ensure that the beam path from sensor to driver's face is unobstructed, whether by parts of the vehicle (10) or by the driver (11), provided that a normal posture is adopted, when driving. In a particular implementation, the screen is used to reflect light, at the same time satisfying the foregoing criterion.
