<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for making efficient the data selection of an image file of high resolution generated by interval photographing. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic camera is equipped with an imaging part, a high-resolution recording part, a low-resolution recording part, and a data management part. The imaging part has a function of interval photographing for performing high-resolution photographing a plurality of times according to predetermined timing. The high-resolution recording part records high-resolution images of a plurality of frames of interval photographing. The low-resolution recording part prepares low-resolution images by subjecting the high-resolution images of the plurality of frames to resolution conversion and prepares and records a low-resolution moving picture file for reproducing the low-resolution images in the order of photographing as a moving picture. The data management part stores the relation between the low-resolution images in the low-resolution moving picture file and corresponding high-resolution images, and specifies the high-resolution image on the basis of the relation when receiving a request to inquire a low-resolution image in the low-resolution moving picture file. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
