<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hepatic disease-treating medicinal composition and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the medicinal composition is provided by crushing a plant belonging to the genus Boehmeria, such as Boehmeria frutescents Thunberg and Boehmeria nivea, wetting with water, heating to form a water extract liquid, concentrating the water extract liquid to make a first concentrate liquid, adding ethanol to form precipitate, separating a liquid phase layer, concentrating to form a second concentrate and then drying, or passing the second concentrate through a resin, eluting with water, a water/ethanol mixed solution and ethanol, gathering the water/ethanol and ethanol-eluted fractions, mixing, concentrating the mixture to form a third concentrate and finally drying. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
