<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator having a safety mechanism capable of being smoothly detached or attached, though a cloth, paper or the like are inserted into a clip without being entangled therewith, and capable of preventing damage of a cloth, paper or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In an application tool for holding an out state of a pen point with a clip 4 by making a pen point appearances by pushing a knocking rod 2, shapes of holes 9, 10, 11, 12 opened in a main body for engagement of a deter projection of a middle piece 6 and an engaging part 5 of a clip, are composed to become a polygon of five or more polygons or a shape on an arcuate or the like.
