<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device with enhanced productivity by forming liquid crystal panels of models with respectively different sizes or characteristics on an identical substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device is characterized by including a step to form a layer of a photosensitive material over an entire surface of a first substrate wherein the first substrate has a first region and a second region defined thereon in which first and second liquid crystal panel models will eventually be formed; a step to align a photomask on the layer of the photosensitive material, defined by a transmissive region, a light shielding region and a slit region; a step to form first and second color filter layers with respectively different thickness values and widths on the first region and the second region by exposing and developing the photosensitive material by using the photomask; and a step to form at least one or more first liquid crystal panel models on the first region and to form at least one or more second liquid crystal panel models on the second region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
