INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management system which ensures security of a file locally stored in a mobile information terminal.

SOLUTION: A key distribution server 100 comprises: an authentication information storage section 108 for storing identification information; an authentication section 110; a key distribution section 112 for distributing an encryption key that is unique for a user ID, to a mobile information terminal 10 on the condition that the authentication section 110 authenticates the identification information when a distribution request of the encryption key for encrypting a file stored in the mobile information terminal 10 is received together with the identification information; and a server side key storage section 120 for storing a decryption key for decrypting the file encrypted by the encryption key correspondingly to the user ID. The key distribution section 112 reads the decryption key using the user ID as a search key and distributes the decryption key to the mobile information terminal 10 on the condition that the authentication section 110 authenticates the identification information when a distribution request of the decryption key is received from the mobile information terminal 10 together with the identification information.
