<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for realizing the reproduction and interface of media by a media player. <P>SOLUTION: The number of control buttons is reduced by connecting the functions of fast forwarding and skip forward for single button control so that the costs of a device and the "button overload" of consumers can be reduced. When a forwarding button is depressed, media reproduced by a media player are skipped to a predetermined position in the media. When the forwarding button is depressed and held, media under reproduction are fast forwarded according to an algorithm for fast forwarding. A return button accepts backward skip and fast reversing in the same way. This device is provided with reproduction/temporary stop buttons and the above forwarding buttons and fast running buttons so that it is possible to advantageously reduce the number of the required buttons only by two buttons. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
