PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic field detector element, a magnetic field detector, and a magnetic field detecting method, which cope with both a high signal output and a high accuracy external magnetic field response. SOLUTION: The element comprises a free layer 7 consisting of a continuous single layer the magnetizing direction of which changes according to an external magnetic field, a first fixed layer 5a located on the free layer the magnetizing direction of which is fixed to a first direction 3a, and a second fixed layer 5b the magnetizing direction of which is fixed to a second direction 3b antiparallel to the first direction.
