摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the stability in the temperature distribution of a heat insulating zone in an alloying furnace for hot dip galvanizing. SOLUTION: In the upper part of a hot dip galvanizing bath 18, a heating zone 20, a heat insulating zone 21 and a cooling zone 22 are arranged in order. In the outlet side of the heat insulating zone 21, static pressure pads 2 are arranged with a steel strip 1 interposed and the quantity of the gas to be fed to the static pressure pads 2 is controlled by a damper 26. A CCD (change-coupled device) camera 27 is arranged in the vicinity of the outlet side of the heat insulating zone 21 for measuring the luminance in the surface of the steel strip at the inside of the heat insulating zone 21. The opening degree of the damper 26 is controlled in such a manner that the luminance in the surface of the steel strip is held to the beforehand set objective value or above based on the output of the CCD camera 27. Preferably, the static pressure pads 2 are arranged zigzag by at least one on either side of the steel strip and by at least two on the other side.
