A device registering system comprising a server that holds contents; and a terminal apparatus that uses the contents; wherein when a communication time for which the terminal apparatus communicates with the server is less than a reference value, the terminal apparatus is registered with the server. Measuring means of the server measures a communication time from when it transmits measurement information to the terminal apparatus until it receives response information therefrom. The measuring means of the server repeats such transmission, reception and measurement until the measured communication time is equal to or less than the reference value. Elapsed time measuring means measures an elapsed time from when the foregoing measuring means starts its initial measurement until the registration. Transmitting means transmits status notification information, which is indicative of the processing status, to the terminal apparatus in accordance with the elapsed time. Responding means of the terminal apparatus receives the measurement information from the server, and transmits the response information in response to the measurement information. Displaying means displays massage data, based on transfer information received from the server.
