摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk system that performs efficient and accurate low power-consumption control, which is control with a lowest possible load for a CPU, by having a mode of automatically changing into a low power-consumption state without the intermediation of F/W at a point of the completion of access to a host, and a converse mode of automatically not-changing into a low power-consumption state, and switching them by firmware. <P>SOLUTION: This control system is provided in an information recording/reproduction unit for performing the recording/reproduction of information to/from a recording medium. The information recording/reproduction unit is connected to a host computer, and the control system has a means for transmitting/receiving the information of command, data and address to/from the host computer, and a means for making the information recording/reproduction unit brought into a low power-consumption state. The control system makes the information recording/reproduction unit brought into the low power-consumption state by the means for the low power-consumption state except when the information recording/reproduction unit does not transmit/receive information to/from the host computer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
