<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor in which reporting on recovery from a sleep mode to an usual mode is possible from a device to a host with a USB connection line and a power-saving effect is improved by stopping the power supply to a USB controller on the host side when the host is in a sleep mode. <P>SOLUTION: When facsimile reception from a public line 40 is detected by a incoming call detection circuit 25 during the sleep-mode operation of a device 20, a device controller 23 controls a pull-up switch 27 to be turned on, and pulls up a data line (D+) 32 of a USB interface via a resistor (a pull-up resistor) 26. The pull-up of the data line (D+) 32 of the USB interface is detected by a detection element 15 externally connected to the data line (D+) 32 on the side of a host 10.
