PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device capable of suppressing the excessive response of a read signal in the unstable area of a disk by switching 3 or more kinds of cutoff frequencies to subject the read signal to filter processing. SOLUTION: The disk device is provided with a reading part 11 for reading a reflected light from a disk to output a read signal, a filter part 14 for receiving a control signal passed through a 2-bit or more control line, and subjecting the read signal to filtering by 3 or more different kinds of cutoff frequencies f1, f2 and f3, a reproducing part 13 for reproducing the filtered read signal, and a control part 20 for supplying a control signal to the filter part through the 2-bit or more control line according to the read signal, thereby controlling the filter part to execute 3 or more kinds of cutoff frequencies in 3 or more continuous operation periods T1, T2 and T3.
