PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shoe using springs as a shock absorber at a heel portion, which facilitates the mounting of the springs, provides walking and running in a stable posture, and effectively cushions shock for fatigue relieving effect. SOLUTION: A midsole body 7a is made by forming a thick elastic member into a shape matching the shape of a sole in plane view and forming the upper surface of the heel portion 9 so as to be raised stepwise relative to the upper surface of a toe side portion 8. A base 11 is made corresponding to the heel portion 9 of the midsole body 7a. The upper surface of the base 11 is fixed with the lower ends of compressed springs 12 so as to be guided by protrusions 16, and the upper ends of the springs 12 are fixed on the lower surface of the heel portion 9 so as to be guided by protrusions 15. A midsole 7 composed of the midsole body 7a, base 11, and the compressed springs 12 is incorporated into the shoe and fixed on the upper surface of the outsole 1, and the compressed springs 12 are attached to the shoe.
