The bag has a pouch made up of walls which are attached to adjacent walls by fold lines. The walls open to admit excrement and close to confine the excrement within the pouch. A front wall of the pouch has a flap which pivots from a closed position in which th e outer surface of the flap is adjacent to the front wall and an open position in which the flap is generally co-planar with the outer wall. A pocket is formed on the outer surface of the flap for receipt of the blade of a spatula or a screw driver. The bag includes an enclosure within which the pouch is confined when it contains excrement. The enclosure has a central segment which is attached to the pouc h and a pair of outer segments which are attached to opposite sides of the central segment b y fold lines and which fold over the pouch in order to prevent excrement from accidentally discharging from the pouch.
