Rivet head (3) arranged to be supported by and to connect to a rivet shank (4) and comprising an upper portion (5) to which a deforming force is intended to be applied and a lower portion (6) from which said rivet shank is intended to extend, the rivet (2) thus arranged being intended to join together at least two components. A particular distinguishing feature is that substantially the whole underside of the rivet head has a shape such that friction forces relative to a relevant component are small during a riveting process, with the object of preventing damage to the surface of said component.
