An apparatus for reducing foam in a liquid storage tank, includes a bottomless elongated housing adapted for use in a substantially horizontal orientation. The housing has an interior peripheral defining wall forming an interior cavity, an inlet at a first end, and an outlet at a second end. A plurality of baffles are positioned at spaced intervals along the interior cavity of the housing. The baffles include upper baffles extending downwardly from the wall leaving a flow space below and lower baffles extending upwardly from the wall leaving a flow space above. The upper baffles and the lower baffles alternate, thereby defining a serpentine flow path between the inlet and the outlet. |
