The proposed laser interferometer contains a two-frequency helium-neon laser, a beam-splitting element, an optical system, a movable reflector, photoelectric frequency converters, a computing unit, and a displaying unit. The optical inputs of the converters are coupled with the optical outputs of the beam-splitting element, optical system, and reflector. The outputs of the converters are connected to the inputs of the computing unit. The input of the displaying unit is connected to the output of the computing unit. The computing unit additionally contains two non-reversive pulse counters, two registers, a microprocessor, and an arithmetic unit. The inputs of the counters are used as the inputs of the computing unit, which are connected to the outputs of the photoelectric frequency converters. The inputs of the registers are connected to the outputs of the corresponding counters. The outputs of the registers are accordingly connected to the input of the microprocessor and the input of the arithmetic unit. The present invention provides a possibility to extend the functionality range and improve the performance of the interferometer.
