The proposed pendulum device for determining the friction coefficient of lubricated surfaces is designed as a steel ball suspended by a wire to a horizontal shaft. The ball is in contact with the sample surface. The device is distinctive by that the suspension shaft is installed in a guide element. As a result, it is possible to determine the friction coefficient for surfaces with reciprocal motion.
