The present invention relates to a method for stopping a power unit of a nuclear power plant and a system for the realization of the method. The proposed method is distinctive by that, for the purpose to increase the reliability of the power unit in stopping, after unloading the power unit closing the control valves of the turbine, the operations are performed to remove condensate and steam from the steam intermediate separation and superheating system to the condenser through a throttling tube, which is designed for reducing the pressure of the condensate and steam.
