A METHOD FOR HEATING THE OPEN-HEARTH FURNACE

The invention relates to heat-power engineering and can be used in carrying out the melting in the open-hearth furnace. A method for heating the open-hearth furnace involves delivery to the fire place of the furnace of heated air and jet of fuel from gas and black oil connected between them as per intensity of torsion which is of W/U=0.6-2 for gas and W/U=0.4-0.8 for black oil, where W û rotation,and U û axial rates. At that, consumption of heated air in the lower part of fuel jet is greater by 1.1-1.3 times than in the upper half of the jet. The proposed method allows to reduce the consumption of energy carriers and increase the steel quality.
