<p>The air cushion is for an air cushion vehicle or air cushion transport devices and comprises a bearer plate (1) for load accommodation, to which is fixed an airtight bellows (2) with a compressed air feed and a locating surface with air outlet apertures (6). To the air cushion a slide tight plate (3) is fixed, which has communicating air outlet apertures. On the slide tight plate under side is at least one eddy groove (5), in which a slide seal is fitted. The slide seal plate locates tightly on the locating surface of the bellows. Several slide seals can be fitted in the at least one eddy groove. The side of the slide seal plate turned away from the locating surface of the bellows is so aerodynamically formed that during travel it forms a buoyancy.</p> |
