PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to feel a click touch enough when an operational key is pushed down and easiness of a shock caused with a tactile switch when the operational key is suddenly pushed down. SOLUTION: A key input device 5 mainly comprises an operational key 7 and a tactile switch 6, wherein the operational key 7 can be pushed down at the time of key input. The tactile switch 6 is located on a circuit substrate 4. The on/off action of the tactile switch 6 can be performed by pushing down the operational key 7. The operational key 7 in the key input device 5 comprises a plurality of protruding parts 71d and 72d, which protrude from the operational key 7 and form a single body while, at least, one of the plurality of the protruding parts 71d and 72d can make contact with the circuit substrate 4.
