PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding method and a binding implement, which makes it possible to bind expanded sheets almost into a fixed state only by putting a tag pin through the sheets at one spot. SOLUTION: According to the binding method, a sheet material, such as the plastic expanded sheets, is bound with the tag pin. The tag pin is a binding pin (1A), which consists of a string-like pin body (11), a ring (12) on one end of the pin body (11), and a T-shaped locking piece (14), which is longer than the diameter of the ring (12), on the other end of the pin body (11). The ring (12) of the binding pin (1A) is located on one surface (91) of a layered body (9) of sheet materials, and the pin body (11) is stretched around the outside of the layered body (9) to reach the other surface (92) of the layered body (9). Then the locking piece (14) of the binding pin (1A) is set along the pin body (9) and is made to penetrate the layered body (9), together with a part of the pin body (9) that follows the locking piece (14), from the surface to the back of the layered body (9). When the locking piece (14) has passed through the ring (12), the locking piece (14) is returned to its original T shape so that it does not slip out of the ring (12).
