PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper box for a merchandise coupon which stores the merchandise coupon of a department store, a beer coupon, a book coupon, a rice coupon or the like in accordance with a request of a customer at a shop front, and for which an assembling work and a storing work are easily performed. SOLUTION: The paper box for a merchandise coupon is made by folding front and back side face plates 3 and 3 and left and right side face plates 3 and 3, and has a flat rectangular parallelepiped shape with an open top face. Triangle-shaped left and right decorative plates 7 and 7 respectively having linking projecting parts c are folded down, and a trapezoid-shaped front decorative plate 5 and folding linking pieces 6, 9 and 10 are folded down. The folding linking pieces 6, 9 and 10 in which a temporary folding line f and valley-like folding line e are folded into valleys are folded by pinching the linking projecting parts c and c of the left and right decorative plates 7 and 7, and by opening this temporary folding line f folded into a valley, the folding linking pieces 6 and 9 and the folding linking piece 10 are respectively brought into close contact with and linked with the linking projecting parts c and c of the left and right decorative plates 7 and 7, and the front side face plate 3.
