PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly method for a relief valve capable of setting a relief pressure at a constant pressure without making a manufacture error of a valve spring strict. SOLUTION: A displacement amount measuring part 13 and a relief valve assembly part 14 are provided on a stage 12. A displacement amount of the valve spring 5 is measured when the valve spring 5 set on the displacement amount measuring part 13 is pressed by a set spring load. A valve and the valve spring 5 are housing in a valve housing part formed in a valve body 2 in the relief valve assembly part 14. When pressing the valve spring 5 by a pressing member 6, the pressing member 6 is fixed by pressing it in just for the displacement amount measured by the displacement amount measuring part 13.
