PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair which can prevent the wheels from rotating casually in a retracted condition of the wheels. SOLUTION: The wheelchair is so constituted that wheel retraction sensing switches 4 and 5 sense the retraction of the wheels 30 to cut off an electric source circuit for rotating a driving wheel.
