<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material for illumination, which enables high-image-quality recording with high image density and excellent color development properties when used as an illuminated sign in an inkjet recording system, and which has proper water resistance and a uniform surface. <P>SOLUTION: In this recording material for the illumination, an ink absorbing layer with a porous structure is provided by applying a coating liquid, which is mainly composed of water, a particle, a water-insoluble resin and a water-insoluble cationic resin, onto a translucent substrate by microgravure. The recording material is characterized as follows: a viscosity of the coating liquid is in the range of ≥60 cps and ≤180 cps; and a concentration of a solid content is in the range of ≥13% and ≤27%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
